Retrace-3D_Final Report (Open data)

Final report of the Project RETRACE-3D (Central italy Earthquakes Integrated Crustal Model) aimed at the three-dimensional, geological and seismotectonic characterisation of the Earth’s crust volume that, starting from 24 August 2016, was affected by the seismic sequence of central Italy. The report describes the data and methodology used for the construction of the three-dimensional geological model, its geometric-cinematic validation, and the comparison with independent data. The project is the result of a collaboration between the Department of Civil Protection, the National Institute of Geophysics and Vulcanology (INGV), the National Research Council with the Institute of Environmental Geology and Geoengineering (CNR-IGAG) and the Institute for Electromagnetic Detection of the Environment (CNR-IREA) and the Higher Institute for Environmental Protection and Research (ISPRA), with the collaboration of Eni and Total, also part of the National Civil Protection Service, who have made their data available underground.
