Interviews given to the organisers of cultural events on the theme of sustainability.EvidenceAs regards the central theme of the survey, the operators interviewed show a strong sensitivity to the theme of sustainability, declined in its many aspects, but at the same time show significant differences in approach depending on the scope considered. The theme of sustainability is integrated in the way almost all events are designed, organised and realised: for almost 60 % it is very much (44.8 %) or completely (13.8 %), for almost no one is little or not at all. As regards the various variations of the term “sustainable” the attention and very strong regarding diversity and equality (“very” or “completely” taken into account in the design and implementation of the event in 96.3 % of cases), health and safety (86.2 %), accessibility (85.7 %), waste management (75.9 %); on the other hand, there is significantly less consideration for issues such as energy (24.1 %), transport and logistics (40.0 %), the impact on travel (43.3 %), water use (48.2 %), however, often not so much due to a lack of awareness or culture on the subject, but for economic or logistical obstacles that are not easy to overcome.
