School buildings (year 2014) — Metropolitan City of Florence

Geographical database of the schools listed in the Register of Schools of the Provincial School Office of Florence (excluding schools present in the territory of the Union of Municipalities of the Empolese Valdelsa District). The database consists of:1) a punctual archive with the localisation of access to the buildings that host the schools. Each single mechanographic code in the provincial list for kindergartens, primary schools, secondary schools of 1st grade and schools including 2nd degree secondary schools has been located.2) an area archive with the identification of the buildings that house the schools. Each school building is described by one or more polygons to which are associated all the mechanographic codes corresponding to the courses hosted in the structure itself (from 1 up to a maximum of 7 codes). Only for the municipality of Florence are also identified some structures not equipped with mechanographic code such as crèches.
