Dataset description

According to Tables A of DGR No 583 of 19/07/2022 (concerning ‘L.R. No 16/2020, identification and mapping of suitable territorial sea areas and precluded from carrying out aquaculture activities, approval of the Vocational Charter of the territorial sea areas of the Lazio Region’), the territorial sea areas excluded from aquaculture (in particular fish farming) are those areas where existing sea constraints and uses are not compatible with aquaculture. Constraints and uses relate to different areas, including the protection and conservation of protected habitats and species, the quality of the coastal marine environment, human pressures, economic activities and infrastructure at sea, defence and national security. Some constraints relating to the submerged archaeological heritage have not been mapled given the degree of sensitivity of the information. The data was created by ISPRA area BIO-AMC.
