Secure parking for bicycles (Open data)

The Municipality of Trento has opened to the public three protected parking spaces for the long-term parking of bicycles To meet the need to park their bicycle safely and comfortably and reduce indiscriminate parking in places not used for this function, the Municipality of Trento has opened to the public three protected parking spaces for the long-term stop of bicycles (in via Dogana, in via della Saluga and at the Parking Area ex Zuffo) whose management has been entrusted to Trentino Mobilità spa. Access to the parking lots is through the validation of the MITT card of provincial public transport (smart card) and their use is free for subscribers to public, urban and extra-urban transport and to Trenitalia, while it is paid for others. Parking “Station Trento” The secure parking lot for bicycles “Stazione di Trento” is located in via Dogana, 14, in a strategically important area for the city because a few steps from the train station. The number of bike stalls is a total of 200, arranged on two-level racks. Inside the area there is a video surveillance system consisting of 8 cameras. For access control and management there are two validators: one at the entrance and one out of the parking lot. Parking “Ex public washroom alla Saluga” The guarded parking lot for bicycles “Ex public washhouse alla Saluga” is located in Via della Saluga, 4, near the interchange point between the urban and extra-urban lines of public transport of Piazza Venezia and near the Buonconsiglio Castle. It is a protected area and equipped for the long-term stop of bicycles, located on the ground floor of a small building, a former public washhouse owned by the municipality, recently restored. The building is located a few meters from the kiosk-edicola and in a strategic position, because in the city center and close to the bus stops in the Port’Aquila area. The parking lot can accommodate 38 bicycles arranged on two-level racks. Inside it is in operation a video surveillance system and a validator, near the entrance gate, guarantees access control and management. Parking “Zuffo” The guarded parking lot for bicycles “Zuffo” is located in via Dos Trento at the south end of the Ex Zuffo car park, in the immediate vicinity of the Trento centro motorway exit and is connected to the city by the NP and 6 bus lines and the pedestrian track on Via Druso. It is a fenced area, video surveillance and partially covered for the long-term stop of 228 bicycles (12 stalls for the bike sharing service “E — motion” for electric bikes and 216 stalls for private bicycles). Outside, near the entrance, there are also 8 stations of the bike sharing service “C’entro by bike”.
