Dataset description

Extract on the territory of the Metropolitan City of Florence of the update of the seismic classification of the municipalities of the Tuscany Region (May 2014). By GRT Resolution No. 421 of 26/05/2014, published in BURT Part II No 22 of 4.6.2014, the regional seismic classification concerning the update of Annex 1 (list of municipalities) and Annex 2 (map) to GRT Resolution No 878 of 8 October 2012 was approved. This update of the seismic classification list has become necessary following the merger of 14 Tuscan municipalities, resulting in the establishment from 1 January 2014 of 7 new municipal administrations. The seven new municipalities (including Figline and Incisa Valdarno and Scarperia and San Piero in the province of Florence) originated from the merger of homogeneous municipalities in terms of the basic seismic hazard and seismic classification, so the update simply provided for the confirmation of the seismic classification of the original municipalities.
