Seismic risk (Commune of Cesena)

By Council Decision No 20 of 26 June 2017, the Inter-municipal Plan for Civil Protection of the municipalities of the Union Valle Savio was approved. The seismic risk is the measure of the damage that a given event can cause in a given period of time based on the type of seismicity, resistance of construction and anthropisation (nature, quality and quantity of the goods exposed). The seismic risk is therefore determined by the combination of danger, vulnerability and exposure. The Municipality of Cesena is classified as an area of medium hazard (level 2), as it has a seismicity recorded by seismic networks characterised by fairly frequent shocks but of medium to low intensity and a territory with a vulnerability of the existing buildings and an exposed value (population density, infrastructure, services, etc.) high.
