Dataset description

After the earthquake of magnitude 6.5 that on 30 October again struck the regions of Lazio, Marche, Umbria and Abruzzo, work was made, in conjunction with the local authorities, to find a rapid solution to welcome the citizens of the affected municipalities. Even in view of the winter, it was in fact chosen not to set up waited reception camps, as had been done after August 24th.Citizens who cannot leave the municipality of residence will be accommodated in areas equipped with housing containers, office containers and service areas. The citizens can take advantage of these temporary accommodations until they return to their homes (if they can be operated or made accessible thanks to small interventions) or until the allocation of an emergency housing solution (if their house is unusable or in a red area). Containers will therefore be removed when needs cease. It is the task of the mayors to assess the actual need of the container solution, once verified the impossibility to guarantee to all citizens alternative accommodations that allow better standards of assistance. The mayors must also give indications on the areas for the construction of the settlements to the Department, which instead has the task of installing the modules.
