Soil map of Piedmont Region 1:50,000.Reports the geometries of the Map Units, defined according to criteria of pedogenesis and functional properties of the soil, describing them according to the geography and relative distribution of the different Typological Units of soil that characterise it.The derived maps identify individual soil characteristics or analyse the soil information in relation to other levels of information, making cartographically identifiable soil limitations and aptitudes or specific environmental criticalities. Among these, the map of land use capacity, differentiating land according to their possible uses, is certainly the most well-known and used tool in spatial, agricultural, environmental and urban planning. Its use must be carried out taking into account the resulting geographical information limit: the approximation is therefore relative to the scale of study and possible magnifications can generate interpretative errors.
