The first Territorial Coordination Plan was approved by Regional Law of 22 March 1980, today replaced by the General Variant to the Territorial Coordination Plan, approved by Decree No 7/5983 of 2 August 2001 regulating the areas falling within the Ticino Valley Regional Park. Part of the Plan are the freestanding tables and the Technical Standards of Implementation, in addition to the tables of the Country Plan. For the Ticino Valley Natural Park, established by Law 31 of 12 December 2002, there is the relevant PTC approved by Decree No 7/919 of 26 November 2003. The PTC of the Natural Park also has the value of a village plan and an urban plan and replaces the village plans and the territorial or urban plans of any level, pursuant to Article 25 of the Framework Law on Protected Areas of 6 December 1991, No 394.
