Agro-forestry areas are areas that meet one or more of the following characteristics: — intended to provide woody or non-woody productions currently considered forest-type; — host tree or shrub formations which have a role of direct or indirect protection of human activities against meteorological or physical events and their consequences; — host spontaneous tree or shrub formations whose conservation meets naturalistic, landscape or recreational needs; — areas temporarily devoid of a stand due to use or accidental occurrence; — areas under forest nursery, walnuts and hazelnuts specialised in fruit production, manna ash, carob plantations, and, logically, all fruit tree formations. — agricultural crops, vegetable gardens, seasonal or permanent arable crops of a shrub, tree or herbaceous nature; — uncultivated areas and pastures. Tree or shrub formations, also of forest species, vegetating within parks, gardens, botanical gardens, and in general in any situation in which the arboreal formation had exclusive aesthetic purposes or in any case other than forest ones, as does not include rowing trees in agricultural and road environments (sites in the theme: urban and extra-urban green).
