Tourist movements in Sardinia 2013 by municipality

The dataset collects the arrivals (number of customers hosted in the accommodation establishments in the period considered) and the attendance (number of nights spent by customers in the accommodation establishments in the period considered) of tourists in Sardinia. The data are for the year 2013, and are divided by origin of the tourist (Italian region or foreign state) and accommodation municipality. In compliance with the legal obligation on statistical secrecy, some data may have been omitted if their publication can even indirectly allow the tracing of confidential information. In particular, data are omitted when they are related to less than 3 accommodation facilities, to prevent anyone from being able to trace directly or indirectly to the data of the individual structure. For this reason, the sum of arrivals and attendance may be less than the total of the region, and deviate from the results obtained from different aggregations of the same starting data. The data derive from communications for statistical purposes, mandatory by law, that the accommodation facilities make to the Sardinia Region. The Region then takes care of the transmission of data to Istat according to the current legal requirements.
