Tourist movements January-September 2020 — Metropolitan City of Florence

The unfavourable health situation has had and is having serious consequences on the tourism-receptive sector: this has led many structures to effectively suspend activity for more or less prolonged periods; however, the suspension was formalised only in a limited number of cases. The adoption of an innovative and more complex programme of data collection and processing by accommodation facilities, some time before the pandemic occurred, involved study, deepening and training for the operators of the Statistical Office of the Metrocity, and a considerable commitment also from the structures. A table is published showing the monitoring of the sending of data by the structures, with the response rate, over the period May-September 2020. The table showing the movement from January to September 2020 is preceded by another, which instead analyses the same period of 2019, useful for a comparison.
