Trigonometric summits

Metropolitan City of Naples. The new Geodetic Refining Network for the Province of Naples (VTP) attached to the IGM 95 National Network has been implemented as part of the aerial recovery and construction of colour orthophotos on a 1:5000 scale of the territory of the Campania Region. It has a distance between the summits on average between 7 km and 9 km. The materialisation of this network was carried out according to the criteria of stability and accessibility of the summits. The number of summits is a total of 49 distributed throughout the province. The summits, uniformly distributed throughout the province, were signed as VTPXX, where XX is the serial number of the newly installed summit and VTP stands for Provincial Trigonometric Summit. VTPXXR is referred to as the vertices rematerialised as a result of the destruction and/or unfitness of the previous summit, through the annual maintenance campaigns.
