Dataset description

The trigonometric summits are the points of the national geodetic network, created by IGM for triangulation and trilateration, divided into different orders and evenly distributed throughout the territory with an average distance of about 5 km. From this network, the establishment of which began practically with the unit of Italy and whose first determination was concluded in 1919, the other national networks were derived. The reference data is provided by IGM (http://www.igmi.org/geodetica).
