Tuscany Region — Regional Geological Database

From 2002 to 2006 the Region of Tuscany realised the full coverage of the regional territory through the Regional Geological Charter on a scale of 1:10,000. From this cartography, following a process of verification and geometric and informative connection, carried out in the period 2009-2011 by the GeoTechnologie Centre (CGT) of the University of Siena, the realisation of the Geological Continuum of the Tuscany Region has been carried out. The information levels of the Continuum were subsequently acquired within the Geological DB (November 2014) undergoing changes and additions and transposing the existing geomorphological database for the provinces of AR, MS, LU,PT and “Banca Dati Frane” throughout the region.
