Dataset description

[Alt text](/images/rtsmall.gif) Regione Toscana, as owner of 1.450 km of roads, activated in 2015 an automated monitoring system of traffic flows on regional roads. The project was funded through POR CReO ERDF resources, integrated with the resources of the National Road Safety Plan. And nbsp; The data from the monitoring system are useful to assess the correlation between the intensity of the vehicle flows and the road accident, for the preparation of forecasting models and to support the decisions necessary for the planning of transport, the planning and design of interventions on road infrastructure, the management of the road network, the activation of an infomobility service aimed at the public. And nbsp; The traffic monitoring system on regional roads consists of 109 stations installed in 2015 in the areas of greatest interest from the point of view of volumes and traffic type, 19 additional stations installed in 2017 and 4 stations on the regional road n° 206 owned by the Province of Livorno. And nbsp; In November 2018, in implementation of the DPCM 20 February 2018, the road network of national and regional interest was redefined. The dataset contains the data of the 19 measurement stations located in former regional road sections transferred to the State, which continue to be part of the monitoring system of the Tuscany Region. And nbsp; The navigable map of the traffic stations, from which you can also access the datasets of the individual workstations, is published at: http://mappe.regione.toscana.it/tolopostazioni.html And nbsp; Some stations are equipped with cameras and weather sensors. The navigable webcam map, from which you can view real-time traffic images on regional roads, is published at: http://muoversintoscana.regione.toscana.it/navigator.aspx?tlc=1 And nbsp; Links to datasets (data 2015-2019): AND #8226; [Regional Road 2](/dataset/sr2) AND #8226; [Regional Road 12](/dataset/sr12) AND #8226; [Former Regional Road 65](/dataset/sr65) AND #8226; [Regional Road 66](/dataset/sr66) AND #8226; [Former Regional Road 68](/dataset/sr68) AND #8226; [Regional Road 69](/dataset/sr69) AND #8226; [Regional Road 70](/dataset/sr70) AND #8226; [Regional Road 71](/dataset/sr71) AND #8226; [Regional Road 74](/dataset/sr74) AND #8226; [Regional road 206](/dataset/sr206) AND #8226; [Regional Road 222](/dataset/sr222) AND #8226; [Regional road 258](/dataset/sr258) AND #8226; [Regional Road 302](/dataset/sr302) AND #8226; [Regional road 325](/dataset/sr325) AND #8226; [Former Regional Road 398](/dataset/sr398) AND #8226; [Regional road 429](/dataset/sr429) AND #8226; [Regional road 429BIS](/dataset/sr429bis) AND #8226; [Regional road 435](/dataset/sr435) AND #8226; [Regional road 436](/dataset/sr436) AND #8226; [Former Regional Road 439](/dataset/sr439) AND #8226; [Regional road 445](/dataset/sr445) AND #8226; [Regional road SGC_FIPILI](/dataset/sgcfipili) And nbsp; From 2009 to 2013, it operated a previous traffic monitoring system on regional roads, consisting of 30 stations, whose data can be downloaded at: http://www.regione.toscana.it/-/dati-di-traffico-sulle-strade-regionali And nbsp; It should be noted that the data comes from the automatic processing of the data collected by the measuring stations, so they are devoid of control and verification.
