Dataset description

Meteo-hydrological stations belonging to the regional data collection network managed by the Regional Hydrological Service. The data provided contain the consistency of the Pluviometers, Hydrometers, Thermometers and Freatimeters network and the related measurements, as specified below, for the entire available time series: — rain gauges: amount of cumulative precipitation (mm of rain) falling within 24 hours from 9 a.m. on the previous day to 9 a.m. on the day in question; — thermometers: maximum and minimum temperatures (°C) within 24 hours between 9 a.m. on the previous day and 9 a.m. on the day in question; — hydrometers (average levels): hydrometric levels (medium daily s.z.i.) calculated within 24 hours between 0 and 24 hours; — hydrometers (hydrometric observations): meridian hydrodrometric levels (m s.z.i.) (registered at 12 o'clock); — freatimeters: average daily subsistence (m from b.c.) calculated within 24 hours between 0 and 24 hours. Each data is marked with one of the following flags: @/-9999 (missing), P (prevalidated), V (validated), R (reconstructed). It is specified that the coordinates and quotas reported for each individual station are NOT derived from precision topographic surveys but have been calculated using different methodologies (relief on IGM 1:25,000 paper, CTR 1:10.000 paper, in situ survey using GPS instrumentation, etc.) and therefore may have different degree of accuracy depending on the survey system used. Further specific information can be found on the [Regional Hydrological Service website] (http://www.sir.toscana.it/).
