Cultural monuments are divided into the following typological groups: 1. Archaeological monuments 2. Architectural monuments 3. Urban building monuments 4. Art Monuments 5. Historical venues 6. Indrustrial monuments. The list of State protected cultural monuments is published in the newspaper Latvijas Vēstnesis.
