Dataset description

The Administrative Borders Dataset is an additional set compared to the dataset offered by the BRK. The responsibility for the Administrative Borders dataset and associated API lies with Information House Space. The target group of the Administrative Borders Dataset includes all users who need the administrative boundaries of municipalities, provinces and national borders defined by the Kadaster. In addition to these boundaries, the boundaries of water boards have also been added, these boundaries have been supplied by Het Waterschapshuis. In addition to the national border established by the Land Registry, this API also unlocks two national borders provided by the Ministry of the Interior for use within the DSO. The dataset also includes the OINs of the competent authorities, the ownership of the OINs lies with Logius and in the API only OINs are returned from the competent authorities that are in the dataset. With regard to the dataset included in this dataset with the management limits of the 21 water boards in the Netherlands, the following applies: “This concerns the as-is situation as of 01-04-2019. This set is intended for use in the Digital System Environment Act (DSO). The set is not yet in accordance with INSPIRE specifications. Harmonisation of content (topological correctness) by the water boards remains to be done. Each water board is the source holder of its own management border. Credits: Union of Water Boards in collaboration with the Waterschapshuis.
