Dataset description
The Current Height File Netherlands 1 (AHN1) are height files and auxiliary files made from laser altimetry in the period 2014-2019. From the measured heights a number of products are made, which can be roughly divided into two categories n.l. 3D point clouds and grids. The point cloud is a LAS file in which a classification has been applied to the individual points. Each point has been awarded to one of the following classes n.l. ground level, construction, water, artwork or other. In addition, additional attributes are included per point. Las is standard binary format to store and exchange LiDAR data. The LAS file is compressed into a LAZ (or LASzip) file. By applying the compression, the original LAS file is reduced to about 10 % with no loss of quality. More information can be found at www.ahn.nl.
