Dataset description

The table provides insight into the amounts of benefit under the Unemployment Act (WW) provided in the reporting period. The amounts paid are broken down by: — Wait money fund; — unemployment fund. For attention: Carrying information can be based on two different methods: The method whereby a disbursed amount is attributed to the (report) period to which the payment relates, regardless of the period during which the payment actually took place, the so-called transaction method (also called accrual basis). The other method attributes an amount disbursed to the (report) period during which the payment actually took place, regardless of the period to which the payment relates, the registration method (also known as cash base or registration basis). The amounts of benefits in this table are determined according to the registration method. As a result, the amounts deviate from the same type of amounts found in the public finances on StatLine. The amounts shown therein relate to the contributions and benefits of statutory social insurance in terms of the European System of Accounts (ESA95). This system is the basis of the National Accounts system and is based on the transaction method. As of 2008, the number of breakdowns in the variable fund has been increased. Negative amounts, which may occur, inter alia, by offsetting or recoveries, have entered the group of other funds in that new breakdown. As a result, it often happens that the total amount paid to WW is slightly lower than the sum of the waiting money funds and the unemployment fund. Data are available for January 1998 to December 2015. Status of the figures: The figures in this table are final except for the last two months, the last quarterly figures and the last annual figures. As this table has been discontinued, the data will no longer be definitive. Changes as of 31 August 2018: None, this table has been discontinued. When are new figures coming? No longer applicable.
