Dataset description

This table establishes a relationship between the municipal classification (the lowest administrative level in the Netherlands) on 1 January 2017 and various subdivisions of the Dutch territory at upper-municipal level. With the information from this table, figures from municipalities can be added together, so that figures can also be calculated at upper-community level. The table is composed of: — Codes and names of municipalities. — Localisations of municipalities. This indicates which upper-municipal areas a municipality belongs to. — Size and urbanity of municipalities. — Statistical data. This includes the population and the environmental address density. This data is based on the size and urbanity of municipalities. For each municipality, the table shows which upper-municipal areas the municipality is part of. On the other hand, the corresponding municipalities can be searched for in the parts of the country, provinces and COROP areas. Data available for 2017 Status of the figures: The data is final. Changes as of 2 February 2018: A correction has been made to the breakdown by Labourmark regions. Additional sources have revealed that the municipality of Uitgeest (code GM0450) moved from Zuid-Kennemerland and IJmond (AM37) to Noord-Holland Noord (AM15) in 2017. Changes as of 15 December 2017: None, this table has been discontinued. The division into Wgr cooperation areas has been lifted by the Ministry of the Interior and Kingdom Relations. For this reason, as of reporting year 2017, the classification will no longer be included in Areas in the Netherlands. The classification by RPA areas is also no longer included as of reporting year 2017, as it has been replaced by the breakdown by Labour market regions, which will be available in Territories in the Netherlands from reporting year 2014. When are new figures coming? No longer applicable.
