Dataset description

Van de Westerschelde was created in 2001 with an ecotope map. A salty ecotope map is constructed by merging several layers of information from the intertidal area: soil height map (height and depth), geomorphological map, dry fall duration map, flow map and salt map. The bottom height map is based on loding (depth) 2001 and laser altimetry (height) 2001. Laser altimetry data combined with singlebeam specialist loading data where the laser altimetry data has been given a higher priority than the loding data. In order to complete the entire ecotope card, it was then supplemented by multibeam landings and additional data on Flemish territory. The single-beam box loads used with recording dates (start and end dates): 0100p0101 29-10-2001 03-12-2001 0200p0101 12-10-2001 05-11-2001 0300p0101 01-10-2001 14-11-2001 0400p0101 22-03-2001 09-04-2001 0500p0101 13-02-2001 12-03-2001 0600p0101 24-01-2001 21-02-2001 1800p0101 07-03-2001 02-04-2001 Laser altimetry recording: 2001 (no documents of this recording available) Additional surveys (singlebeam): Sloehaven Vlissingen: April 2001 Outside harbour Vlissingen: April 2001 Vlissingen Koopmanshaven [0617p0101]: 29/03/01 Breskens Handelshaven [0627p0101]: 27/09/01 Terneuzen Braakmanhaven: April 2001 West Buitenhaven Terneuzen [6001p0101]: 26/09/01 Eastoutdoor Terneuzen Outside [6002p0101]: 27/09/01 Old Veerhaven Terneuzen [6006p0101]: 27/09/01 Buitenhaven Hansweert [6206p0101]: 02/04/01 Port of Perkpolder [0232p0101]: 05/04/01 Port of Kruiningen [0201p0101]: 05/04/01 The routing distance for boxes 0100 to 0300 = 100 m The routing distance for boxes 0400 to 0600 + 1800 = 200 m Both banks of box 6 = 100 m The singlebeam data is interpolated with digipol.
