Dataset description

In this table, key figures are published on: — the construction amount of the permits granted for residential and commercial buildings; — the number of new-build homes for which a building permit has been issued; — the number of new homes that have been completed. The data for the new-build homes are broken down by client for the construction and by the type of property (rental and sale homes). The results for the period 1995 to 2002 relate to the value of the building permits granted with a construction sum starting from EUR 45 thousand. Since 2002, the lower limit of the observation has been increased to EUR 50 thousand. Data available from 1st quarter 1995 to 4th quarter 2011 Status of the figures: The figures are final. When are new figures coming? This table was discontinued on 11 April 2012. Reason for cessation: The data on the housing stock will come from the Basic Registers Addresses and Buildings (BAG) from January 2012; these figures do not match existing statistics. The housing stock figures from January 2012 are published in other monthly and annual tables. For figures on building permits and data on changes in the housing stock from 2012 see the theme page Building and Housing (see also section 3).
