Business environment; human capital, labour supply and costs 1990-2011

This table provides an international comparison of current and potential labour supply and labour costs. The composition of the current labour supply is reflected by a breakdown by level of education (lower, secondary and higher education) among employed persons. An indication of the level of education of potential labour supply is given by the educational achievements of pupils and the percentage of unemployed. The level of education is a measure of human capital used in production. Labour costs are expressed in hourly costs and unit costs. Please note: In order to make an international comparison possible, the figures presented here use internationally comparable definitions, which sometimes differ from the definitions normally used by CBS. As a result, differences can occur between these figures and national figures published elsewhere on the CBS website. Data available from 1990 to 2011.
