This table gives an overview of the knowledge migration flows in a number of
lands. Knowledge migration relates to immigrants and emigrants
from a country divided into high and non-highly educated. The migration
of highly educated (knowledge workers) gives an indication of the degree of
international exchange of knowledge. An increase in the number
(foreign) knowledge workers in a country have a positive impact on
the business environment and increase the attractiveness of innovative
activity.
Please note: In order to make an international comparison possible,
determination of the figures presented here used
internationally comparable definitions, which sometimes differ from the normal
definitions used by CBS. As a result, differences can occur
between these figures and national published elsewhere on the CBS website
figures.
