City edge Marconi (Structure Vision Eemsmond-Delfzijl)

This file contains the ‘city edge Marconi’, as established in the Structure Vision Eemsmond-Delfzijl. In order to connect the centre of Delfzijl with the sea, a dike conversion is needed in built-up area (length shifted dike approximately 400 m). After the construction of the dike, the current dike is excavated and the city beach is built with a sunbathing lawn. On the newly constructed dike comes a boulevard that is easily accessible from the center. In addition, various parking facilities and motorhome parking spaces and facilities for cyclists will be built. Play facilities and sanitary facilities will also be installed and communicative facilities will be provided.
