Coal and coal product balance; supply and consumption

This table contains figures on the supply and consumption of coal, lignite + lignite briquettes and coke oven coke. The calculation of the offer is: production plus recovered products plus imports minus exports plus stock change is equal to the amount of coal, lignite + lignite briquettes and coke oven coke consumed in the Netherlands. This consumption is further broken down by the consumer groups of energy companies, coking plants, industry, iron and steel industry and other consumers. This table is a redesign. Data available from: January 2015. Status of the figures: — final until 2019; — 2020 and 2021 further provisionally; — 2022 for now. Amendments as of 31 October 2022: Figures for August 2022 have been added. Amendments as of 17 December 2021: The figures for 2019 have become final. The figures for 2015 to 2018 have been revised. The main adjustment is a reduction in both imports and exports of coke of several tens of millions of kg on an annual basis (corresponding to around 2 % of consumption). When are new figures coming? Preliminary figures: the third month after the end of the reporting period. Further preliminary figures: no later than December of the year following the reporting year. Final figures: no later than December of the second year following the reporting year.
