Dataset description
This table provides data on the number of companies and institutions by main economic activity, based on the 2008 Standard Business Classification (SBI 2008). The SBI is limited to a number of 1- and 2-digit industries in this table. The companies are further classified according to growth category and operating age. This is the corporate population of the Netherlands. The company population is a snapshot on the first day of each year.
This table is published here for the programme “SME and Entrepreneurship”.

Status of the figures:
The figures until 2019 are final, the figures for 2020 are provisional.
Changes as of 15 July 2021:
2020 figures have been added.
When are new figures coming?
The figures for 2021 will be published in mid 2022.
