Dataset description

This table contains figures on the volume development of value added in basic construction prices. According to the CBS Standard Business Classification (SBI 2008), the construction industry is SBI 41-43. The evolution is represented as a percentage change from the same period in the previous year and by means of indices with the base year 2015. Data available from: January 2005 Status of the figures The figures shall be made consistent with the value added figures of the quarterly accounts as soon as they are available. When publishing the last month of a quarter, regular quarterly estimates of national accounts are not yet available. This allows the figures of the added value of construction in this table to deviate from the value-added figures of national accounts. The series is final until 2019 and provisionally from 2020. For the quarterly figures, the reconciliation with the results of both the first (‘flash’) estimates of the quarterly accounts, 6 weeks after the end of a quarterly report and of the second (‘regular’) estimate, which is published approximately 3 months after the end of a quarterly report. The adjustments are made when a new monthly figure is added to the series. Changes per 17-10-2022 The August 2022 figures have been added and the figures from April to July 2022 have been updated. Changes from 18-07-2022 The annual changes to national accounts have been implemented and the figures from January 2019 to April 2022 have been updated. The figures for May 2022 have also been added. From now on, the 2019 figures will have the status “final”. Changes as of 16-07-2021 The annual changes to national accounts have been implemented and the figures from January 2018 to April 2021 have been adjusted. The figures for May 2021 have also been added. The 2018 figures now have the status ‘final’. Changes as of 16-03-2021 The January 2021 figures have been added and the figures from October to December 2020 have been adjusted. The figures adjusted for working day and season are now delivered to Eurostat. Section 3 provides a link to the relevant table. The Central Statistical Office carried out a revision of the national accounts in June 2018. New statistical sources and estimation methods are used. This table shows the figures after revision. For additional information see paragraph 3. When are new figures coming? New figures appear about seven weeks after the end of the reporting period.
