Dataset description

This table contains figures on the added value of the construction industry. This is a production indicator for the construction industry. This indicator aims at the volume development of value added in basic prices of the construction industry (SBI 2008: 41, 42 and 43) to be displayed. The figures are adjusted to the 2011 National Accounts and the Quarterly Accounts. The figures have been adjusted for price changes. The volume changes are changes compared to the same period before the previous year. The volume indices are based on 2005 = 100. Data available from: January 2000 to December 2012. Status of the figures The figures correspond to the value added figures in the quarterly accounts and the National (annual) accounts. As a result, the figures have a provisional character for quite some time. The connection to the National annual accounts are successively the Provisional, Preliminary and Final Estimation. For the quarterly figures, the reconciliation with the results of both the first (‘flash’) estimate of the quarterly accounts, 6 weeks after the end of a quarterly report and the second (‘regular’) estimate, which is published approximately 3 months after the end of a quarterly report. The adjustments are made when a new monthly figure is added to the series. Changes as of 29 March 2013: This table ceased on 29 March 2013 and continued as "Construction; volume index (2010=100) value added in basic prices’. See also paragraph 3. The statistical examination which forms the basis of the results in this table has undergone a significant change from the date of publication of the first reporting period of 2013: In 2013, from reference year 2005 to 2010 (2010 = 100), the weighting factors were updated and based on the year 2010. When calculating indices, the weighting factors reflect the proportion with which the underlying outcomes count in a publication group. Because of these changes, CBS has released a new table. For more information, see paragraphs 3 and 4. When are new figures coming? After the discontinuation of this table, the figures are no longer adjusted, so the figures for the last two years remain (further) provisional. The remaining periods are final.
