Consumer credit 1998-2013

In this table you will find figures on the consumer credit provided by lenders to private individuals and the debt position resulting from this. The table shows the amounts per month for different lenders and different types of credit: — The credit granted — Interest charged — The repayments — The outstanding balance — The promised limits. In addition, the numbers of: — The outstanding contracts — The promised limits — The newly granted loans — The newly promised limits Data available from January 1998 to December 2013. Status of the figures: The figures in this table are provisional at first publication. In the month of July, the results of the previous year shall be definitively determined on the basis of the annual statement of all lenders. The figures for the months January to May of the current year will also be adjusted but remain provisional. Interim adjustments are made by the availability of new or additional data from some respondents. As this table has been discontinued, the data will no longer become definitive. Changes as of 24 February 2014: The provisional figures for December 2013 have been entered and the table has been discontinued. On 23 February 2012, credit card figures were removed for due care. It has been shown that there is uncertainty as to the composition of these figures. Once this clarity is obtained, the figures will be placed again. When are new figures coming? In connection with the cuts imposed on CBS, it has been decided to end some statistics, reduce them in frequency or publish less in detail. After consulting important users, it was decided to discontinue, among other things, the statistics on consumer credit. This is why you will find the latest publication in this series.
