Dataset description

This table contains figures on economic growth (the percentage growth of gross domestic product) and the contribution of the spending categories to this growth. The gross domestic product can be determined from the final spending. These consist of consumption expenditure, investment and the import and export of goods and services. This approach to GDP offers the possibility to determine the contribution of the different final spending categories to economic growth. In order to create a correct picture, the categories of spending are cleaned for the import of goods and services imputed to them. The allocation of the input to the final spending categories is carried out using input-output analysis. The clean final uses add up to GDP and are the basis for calculating the contribution to growth. The contribution of the spending categories to economic growth is expressed in percentage points. Data available from 1995 to 2016. Status of the figures: The data from 1995 to 2015 are final. The data for 2016 is provisional. As this table has been discontinued, the data will no longer be definitive. Changes as of 22 June 2018 None, this table has been discontinued. The Central Statistical Office has recently carried out a revision of the national accounts. New statistical sources and estimation methods are used. This table containing data for revision has been replaced by table Contributions to GDP volume growth; national accounts. For additional information see paragraph 3. When are new figures coming?
