Dataset description
The importance of reliable figures on crime and law enforcement has led to the creation of an authoritative publication series with the nature of a statistical reference work by the Central Statistical Office (CBS) and the Scientific Research and Documentation Centre (WODC) in 1998. The result of this cooperation is the annual publication Crime and Law Enforcement (C&R). Since 2011, the cooperation between CBS and WODC has been extended to include the Council for the Judiciary (RvdR), which has broadened the range of data and expertise. This publication aims to systematically identify developments in and coherence between crime and law enforcement and is intended for anyone interested in quantitative information in this area.
