Dataset description

This table was discontinued as of 27-07-2012 and continued as Crimes; prosecution and trial. See also paragraph 3.The reason for cessation is the introduction of the Standard Classification of Crimes 2010. This table gives an overview of the number of court criminal cases registered with a public prosecutor’s office, the number of court criminal cases settled by the Public Prosecutor’s Office (OM) and the number of real bank criminal cases settled by the court of first instance. The number of cases by the prosecution is subdivided according to the manner of settlement. The number of settlements by the court is divided by type of final decision and type of sanction. In the table, these data can be divided into the following characteristics: — type of crime; — age and type of suspect. The prosecution can also subpoena a suspect.In that case, the case will be referred to the court. Summons are not counted as a settlement by the Public Prosecution Service. The court’s adjudications are not taken into account as a settlement of the cases joined by the judge at the hearing in another case. The figures in the table are rounded to five. Data available from: 1994. Frequency:yearly Status of the figures: The figures for the last reporting year are provisional figures, the other figures in this table are final figures.
