Dataset description

This map shows the calculated average concentration of ozone over the last hour. This information is updated every hour. Ozone is a gas that arises from a reaction between all kinds of air pollutants under the influence of sunlight. As a result, increased ozone levels occur only in spring and summer, because in the other seasons the solar influence is too small to produce ozone. The values you see are based on calculations. The calculations are calibrated adhv measurements. The calculation method used is the RIO model for hourly background concentrations.
