Death; children up to 5 years of age according to various characteristics, 1996-2014

This table contains data on mortality among children under 5 years of age, according to various characteristics in the Netherlands. In this table, the data can be divided into the following characteristics: — Stillborn by pregnancy, sex, mother or unmarried, maternal number, single or multiple birth, cause of death and mother’s age; — Infant mortality by pregnancy, sex and age of the child; — Cause of death in stillborns; — Cause of death in 0-year-olds; — Cause of death in 1 to 5 year olds. Data available from 1996 to 2014. Status of the figures: All figures in the table are final. Changes as of 31 March 2016: None, this table has been discontinued. Changes as of 22 March 2016: The figures for 2013 (causes of death) and 2014 have been added. The total number of child mortality in perinatal deaths 24+ and 28+ has been adjusted for the years 1996 and 1997. For the year 1996 the difference is + 7 and for the year 1997 + 1. These corrections do not affect the other figures in the table. When are new figures coming? No longer applicable. The information from this table is largely continued in a number of other tables.
