Educational institutions; size, kind, philosophical basis

This table contains results per school/study year on educational institutions (schools) distinguished by type of education, philosophical basis (denomination) and size (number of pupils/students). This is government-funded education. The types of secondary general adult education (vavo) and basic education have been omitted from this table, as the correct number of educational institutions cannot be determined. As from the academic year 2015/'16, in the case of higher education, this table also contains the number of enrolled students at a number of designated institutions: theological Universities and the University of Humanistics Data available from: school/study year 1990/'91 Status of the figures: The figures for the school/study years 1990/'91 to 2019/'20 are final and those for the school/study year 2020/'21 are provisional. Changes as of 30 June 2021: The final figures for the school/study year 2019/“20 and the provisional grades for the school/study year 2020/”21 have been added. When are new figures coming? In the third quarter of 2022, final figures for the school/study year 2020/“21 and the provisional figures for the school/study year 2021/”22 will be available.
