Dataset description

This table provides figures on total emissions to air in the Netherlands from stationary and mobile sources. It concerns actual emissions on or above Dutch territory and on the Dutch part of the Continental Shelf (NCP) (see paragraph 2). The calculation of emissions from stationary sources is based, inter alia, on the emission statements in the annual environmental reports of individual companies and CBS production and energy data. The coking plant of Tata Steel (Hoogovens) is part of the energy sector according to the CBS Standard Business Classification (SBI). However, this table includes emissions from the base metal industry. Emissions from mobile sources have been calculated by multiplying activity data, such as vehicle-kilometres and fuel consumption, with associated emission factors. Data available from: 1990. Status of the figures: All figures are final. In order to achieve a consistent and consistent time series, the complete time series is (re)calculated each year, so that the latest insights, in particular with regard to the emission factors, can be taken into account in the calculations. Changes as of 9 March 2022: Addition of final 2020 figures. When will there be new figures? Provisional figures for 2021 will be published in October 2022.
