Dataset description

This table contains figures on the position in the workforce of the working population. The population aged 15 to 75 (excluding institutional population) with paid work is classified by position in the main job or main employment, education participation and industry according to the CBS Standard Business Classification 2008 (SBI 2008). This table has been developed in the framework of the Labour Market, Care and Welfare Research Programme (AZW). For more trends and developments in the labour market in care and well-being, see AZWinfo (see paragraph 3). Due to changes in the research design and questionnaire of the EBB, the figures from 2021 onwards are not easily comparable to figures up to 2020. Data available from 2010 to 2021 Status of the figures: The figures in this table are final. Changes as of 18 August 2022: None, this table has been discontinued. Changes as of 2 June 2022: From 2021 onwards, ‘Position in the Workplace’ has ceased to be the categories ‘Curtained Employee, No Fixed Hours’ and ‘Worker Temporary, No Fixed Hours’, as from 2021 they will be counted under the category ‘Call/Repair Force’. In addition, a new category ‘Employee flex, contract unknown’ has been added from 2021 onwards. Changes as of 19 May 2022: In the previous version of this table, the SBI code ‘88990’ is mistakenly included within the youth care sector, while underlying companies could be broadly included in youth care, social work or welfare. This has been corrected in this version. Changes as of 28 May 2020: The figures of the sector Other care and well-being for the reporting years 2010 to 2018 have been adjusted. In the case of this aggregate, the figures of the overarching industry 8623 had not been taken into account in this aggregate. This has been corrected in this version. Changes as of 4 June 2019: The figures of the AZW-sectors Care and well-being (wide), Care and well-being (mal) and Other care and well-being have been adjusted for the years 2016 and 2017. Erroneously, these aggregates did not include the figures of industry 86925 (Ambulance services). This has been corrected in this version. Within the Position attribute in the working circle, it has been chosen to no longer display the view options for Entrepreneur and Other Self-employed. Instead, it is possible to split self-employed people into Self-employed with staff, Self-employed without staff (ZTP) and Working Family members. When are new figures coming? No longer applicable. This table is followed up by the Working Labour Force table; position in the working circle. See paragraph 3.
