Dataset description

This table contains figures on the position in the workforce of the working population. The population aged 15 to 75 (excluding institutional population) with paid work is classified by position in the main job or main employment and industry according to the CBS Standard Business Classification 2008 (SBI 2008). The data can be broken down by region (regions, provinces and RegioPlus labour market regions) and are based on the municipality of residence on 1 January of the reporting year for each reporting year. This table has been developed in the framework of the Labour Market, Care and Welfare Research Programme (AZW). For more trends and developments in the labour market in care and well-being, see AZWinfo (see paragraph 3). Due to changes in the research design and questionnaire of the EBB, the figures from 2021 onwards are not easily comparable to figures up to 2020. Status of the figures: The figures in this table are final. Changes as of 19 May 2022: The figures for 2021 have been added. The preliminary figures for 2020 have now become final. Changes as of 20 May 2021: The preliminary figures for 2020 have been added. The preliminary figures for 2019 have now become final. The figures for the period 2010-2019 have been corrected. This is a correction of the classification of workers by sector within the Care and Welfare sector in the calculation of regional estimates. When are new figures coming? This table is supplemented by figures for the previous year in the second quarter of each year.
