Dataset description

This table contains quarterly and annual figures on the desired working hours of the working population. The population aged 15 to 75 (excluding the institutional population) with paid work is classified according to whether they want to work more hours, work fewer hours or continue to work the same number of hours. The different groups are further distinguished by gender, position in the workplace, working time and age, educational level and position in the household. Due to a redesign of the Occupational Population Survey (EBB), no new figures for the third quarter of 2021 will appear in November. New figures will be published in the first quarter of 2022. Due to the changes in the research design and questionnaire of the EBB, a revision of the figures for the entire reporting year 2021 will then be carried out. The figures for 2021 are not then easily comparable to the previous reporting periods. Data available from 2003 to 2021. Status of the figures: The figures for 2021 in this table are final. However: due to changes in the EBB’s research design and questionnaire, a revision of the 2021 figures will be carried out in the first quarter of 2022. Changes as of 17 May 2022: None, this table has been discontinued. Changes as of 16 November 2021: Due to a redesign of the Occupational Population Survey (EBB), no new figures for the third quarter of 2021 will appear in 2021. The third quarter is filled with dots. When are new figures coming? No longer applicable.
