Environmental costs of companies with 10 or more employees, SBI'93, 1997-2008

This table describes the financial burden of a significant part of the business as a result of environmental care. To be able to reflect the real environmental burdens of business distinguishing between the costs of own environmental activities and the net environmental costs. The concept of ‘environment’ covers the living environment outside the business area with including the soil climate or the soil below that site. The environment is divided into the environmental compartments (parts): water, air, soil, waste, sound, nature and landscape and general. Data available from: 1997 There are no changes in the figures compared to the previous version. When are new figures coming? The publication in this form has been discontinued with the last year 2008. Reason for this, there is a new classification of companies: the SBI'93 is replaced by the 2008 SBI (see paragraph 2). As a result of this change, the results are not exactly similar to those of previous years. The CBS has therefore chosen to start from the reporting year 2008 with a new table (see paragraph 3). Incidentally, the differences are for the results of this research small. In both tables, figures given for the 2008 overlap year. This statistic runs from 1979 but is only on paper until 1996.
