Existing marriages and partnerships; relationship duration, 1 January

This table contains information about existing marriages and existing registered partnerships among the population of the Netherlands according to the duration of the relationship. The figures reflect the situation on 1 January. The number of marriages and registered partnerships was approached through the married women and women with registered partnerships present on 1 January. The duration of the relationship is the duration from the beginning of the marriage or registered partnership. Data available from: 1998 Status of the figures All figures in the table are final. Changes as of 8 July 2021: The figures as of 1 January 2021 have been added. Changes as of 24 November 2020: The table has been extended to include the subject ‘Existing Registered Partnerships’. The table structure has been changed: Marriage duration has been moved from the subjects to a selection and is now called “relative duration”. The category “Duration unknown” has been added to this selection. The figures as of 1 January 2020 have been added. When are new figures coming? In the fourth quarter of 2022, the final figures will be included in this publication as of 1 January 2022.
