Dataset description

This table shows the trends in sales prices of existing properties for sale displayed by COROP area and 25 Largest municipalities (over 100,000 inhabitants on 01-01-2005). In addition to the price indices are also published in the number of homes sold, average selling price and the total value of the sales prices of these houses. The price indices on the existing properties are based on a full registration of sales transactions of dwellings by the Cadaster and WOZ values of all homes in the Netherlands. Index sequences can fluctuate, for example when the number transactions in a region are limited. It is recommended that the use long-term developments in price indices. The average selling price may show a different trend from the price index existing properties. The development of the average however, selling price is not an indicator of the price evolution of existing properties for sale. For more information, see point 3 above. Article “Why the average purchase price is not a house price indicator”. The data is available from: January 1995. Status of the figures: The figures in this table are final. When are new figures coming? This table has been discontinued as from 8-3-2013 and will be continued as Existing owner-occupied dwellings; region; sales prices price index 2010 = 100.
