Dataset description

This table contains various data on operations by firefighters in the event of fire. This concerns: — the number of fires for which the corps were torn out the number of casualties in these fires — the number of rescues of people in these fires — the number of fires with damage and the corresponding amount of damage (1985 to 1993) — the staff of the corps (until 2006) — the equipment of the corps (until 2004) — the expenditure of the municipalities to the fire brigade. The fires indicate, among other things, the times of call, driving and attendance, and a distinction is made in chimney, indoor and outdoor fires, broken down by the object or location (e.g. house, office building, verge) where the fire has raged. For the year 2008, no data are available on fire and relief reports in the provinces of North Holland, Friesland, the provinces of North Netherlands, West Netherlands. For the year 2009, no data are available on fire and relief reports in the provinces of North Holland, Flevoland, the regions of East Netherlands, West Netherlands. There are also no data available on house fires for 2009. The damages are not available from 1994. It has been found that the damages per type of home are not reliable. For technical reasons, not all regional classifications are currently available. Data available from 1985 to 2013. Status of the figures: The data is final. Changes as of 6 January 2017: None, this table has been discontinued. When are new figures coming? No longer applicable. This table is followed by the tables: ‘Fires and relief services; reports to the fire department, region“,”Brands and relief services; alerting the fire brigade, regions and ‘Brands’; response times of the fire brigade, region. See paragraph 3 for the links to these tables.
