Dataset description

Incoming and outgoing frontier work, of sickness fund-insured workers, to and from Belgium or Germany. Selections: Netherlands (Total), gender, age, province/COROP and periods. Data available from: 1999. Frequency: Discontinued as of 24 July 2009. Data from the Statistics Frontier Labour for the years after 2005 are not available. The Source of Information for Statistics Cross-border work is the sickness funds and the College for health insurance. With the introduction of the Health Insurance Act, as of 1 January 2006, is source material changed substantially. The CBS identify other sources of observation to obtain data on cross-border work. In addition, CBS is working on the demarcation the concept of cross-border work: what is seen as cross-border work and what exactly is the population? Information is available on request from reporting year 1965. Source: Statistics on frontier labour.
