Dataset description
WBE area changes are tracked in the FRS (Fauna Registration System). As a result, there is only one national digital file. WBE border corrections are carried out once a year, because a change to a WBE limit takes effect in many places. For example, a border change has consequences for the cards in the FRS and the damage history known to BIJ12 based on postal codes. In addition, Water Authorities use the WBE limits for renting out yachts to WBEs. The new updated WBE borders are also provided to the provinces for the purpose of drawing up the fauna management plan and these borders are published annually by the provinces.
