Dataset description

This table provides figures on non-chemical control methods, or alternative weed management, by public institutions. The public authorities concerned are: municipalities, water boards, provincial institutions, Rijkswaterstaat and the Ministry of Defence. The table shows per group of public institutions (municipalities and other public institutions) the areas to which different management methods are applied. In addition to the areas, you can also see the number of municipalities that use the method. The study also collected data on the use of chemical pesticides by public authorities. These are presented in another table (see paragraph 3. Links to relevant tables and articles). Data available from: 1992. Status of the figures: All figures are final. Changes as of 21 March 2023: None, this table has been discontinued. Changes as of 7 February 2020: The underlying encodings of the classifications used in this table (Government Settings) have been adjusted.
